Dialogue with 150 Police Reform Coalition Member Organizations for collective and nationwide advocacy
The Police Reform Coalition Member Organizations are the ears and eyes watching the police in the different regions they are stationed and often inform the action points and strategies of the working group and as thus of the Project. They are community based and specific and as thus boast of the capacity to effectively enhance civilian oversight over the police in these particular communities since they know the terrain better. This activity of coalition activities is to ensure a nationwide, collective advocacy and also building and strengthening the capacity of the regional police accountability and reform coalition members in the second phase of the project.
The coalition dialogues will strengthen the network/coalition, a notion central to the effective running of the project. These dialogues/meetings shall be held in the five regions with coalition member organizations in Northern, Central, Eastern, Western and Northern Uganda in the months of September-December 2011.
