Some of the components of the project such as public order management are executed with the input of HURINET-Police Accountability Project international partners of APCOF and CHRI working closely with project team. They play a supporting role in the notions to do with trainings, workshop facilitation, among other areas of collaboration.

  • African Policing Civilian Oversight Forum (APCOF)

The African Policing Civilian Oversight Forum (APCOF) is a network of African practitioners active in policing reform and civilian oversight over policing.  Created in 2004, its members are drawn from state and non state institutions. It is active in promoting police reform through civilian oversight over policing. It is based in South Africa.  The objectives of APCOF are to create and sustain public confidence in police, develop a culture of human rights, integrity, transparency and accountability within the police, promote a good working relationship between the police and the community.

  • Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI)

CHRI’s mandate is to promote awareness of and adherence to the Harare Principles, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other internationally recognized human rights instruments and declarations made by the Commonwealth Heads of Governments as well as domestic instruments supporting human rights in the Commonwealth.  CHRI aims to raise awareness of and adherence to internationally recognized human rights instruments and declarations made by Commonwealth Heads of Governments and most particularly those embodied in the Harare Principles. CHRI is based in India with branchaes in Ghana among other countries.
